The Federal Government of Nigeria is serious about NIN to SIM linkage, they have given enough time for all Nigerians to link their SIM cards.
Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) has ordered all Nigerians to link their National Identity Number (NIN) to their respective SIM cards or face termination of service from network providers.
Following the NCC instruction, the major network providers in Nigeria which are MTN, Glo, Airtel and 9mobile released easy and quick steps for subscribers to link their National Identity Number (NIN) to their Number without even coming to their office for the linking.

Here are the steps in which you can follow to link your various lines (GLO, MTN, Airtel & 9mobile) to the NIN. If you have not enrolled for the national ID card scheme, check the following steps below for all lines.

Link NIN to 9Mobile Number & Ways to link NIN to SIM Cards
Visit http://www.9mobile.com.ng/nin Or you can dial *200*8#
Link NIN to MTN Number & Ways to link NIN to SIM Cards
Dial *785# using the phone number you wish to link, enter your NIN and submit or dial *785*Your NIN# from the phone number you wish to link. The number will be linked to your NIN automatically.

Link NIN to Globacom Nigeria & Ways to link NIN to SIM Cards
You can now link your National Identification Number (NIN) to your mobile number as a Glo subscriber. Simply send “UPDATENIN NIN FirstName and LastName” to 109.
